In order to encourage students’ placement related activities in all over Gujarat, Department of Education, Government of Gujarat has established Placement Cell at Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat (KCG), Ahmedabad in 2018-19.
The Government of Gujarat has been consistently focusing on the integrated development of youth of the state through its Higher and Technical Educational Institutions, catering to the changing demands of the Industries.
The State Education Department (Higher and Technical) is also committed to create placement opportunities for students studying in Final year in all the Government and GIA colleges by organizing Mega Placement Camps across the state every year.
In each placement camp, Industries would get an opportunity to interact with students seeking placement from Government and Grant in Aid (GIA) Institute from both Higher and Technical Institutes of the respective district.
Placement Cell provides good opportunity for industry to access the talent pool of skilled manpower from our educational institutions at a single location during the placement cell.
The main objective for the above placement cell is as under.
● Plan, Implement & Organize Mega Placement Camps in all over Gujarat.
● Create and update Placement Portal, which provides a platform to connect Industries and Academia.
● To provide job opportunity for final year students of Government and GIA Institutes of Higher and Technical Education.
● The main objective is to bridges the gap between corporates requirements and student’s knowledge and skillsets.
● Students will get job as per their interest, likings, skills, aptitudes and also have a choice for selection of the company.
● Maximum number of deserving students get on-campus placement to start their career with their dream company.
