Legal Aid Clinics have three main objectives :
Promoting human rights by improving access to the legal system
Fostering professionalism and a sense of public service among students
Strengthening civil society and the rule of law.
The objective of the Scheme is to provide legal services to the poor, marginalized and weaker sections of the society as categorized in Section 12 the Legal Services Authorities Act 1987 (Central Act), especially to the people living in far away places including the places with geographical barriers.
